I have never played this game, only its successor Digimon Rumble Arena 2. So I didn't expect that almost all the tracks should resonate so strongly with my music taste. Many of the tracks are upbeat and action-packed compositions that could just as well fit the excitement of racing games such as Sega GT 2002
Freezy Artic mixes a deep humming bassline, constant rythmic percussion and a ticking guitar line to describe the fight on the frozen and barren stage.
Badguy's Festival is a lot more energetic. The jamming and soloing guitar really fits the thrill of racing just as well as battling.
Out in the Country and This Power in Me both have a tasty saxophone added in the mix. The first one sounds truly hopeful, mostly brought forward by its upbeat and exciting guitar motif.
A Wish for Life starts with a synth-like motif somewhat reminiscent of eurobeat and power-metal.
Both Mini-Game Madness 2 and Mini-Game Madness sound quite quirky and exotic.
The Sanctuary in the Sky has an ethereal, yet eerie quality to it. The dissonant call and return of the string-like synths, the unnerving scraping sounds and sparse drum rolls give the track a tense and almost ominous vibe. Not really fit for a sanctuary theme, but maybe describing some sinister secret behind the facade 🤔.
Reapermons Den is another fast-paced racing-like track, throwing you right into the action.
Dangerous Forest uses subtle drums, guitar strumming and several flute synths to fit the forest theme. It doesn't really sound like a dangerous forest though.
Burning Volcano truly makes you feel like you're witnessing a natural disaster with its quite perilous vibe.
The start of The Biggest Dreamer sounds like a sped up version of a part of the Shadilay meme track. I'd say the track is a mix between synthwave and eurobeat/racing influences. Its high-energy and brimming optimism should put a smile on everyone's face.
Mecha Factory is also a pretty interesting electronic synth track.
