Not really much of a cohesive soundtrack to be honest, since most of the tracks don't share any similarities. However it's still got a lot of charm, even though it feels like its missing something to be a truly great soundtrack.
Pinewood is the first town in this game.
Tyrant Battle is a fun battle-theme, utlizing jamming rough guitars, heavy percussion and also some subtle choir-like sounds to create tension.
Palmaaya sounds a bit flat to me to be honest, but that might be fitting for a vacation paradise.
The drake isles the coolest area in the game in my opinion, with a fitting soundtrack to boot:
Not sure what it is, but these two tracks brings me associations to traditional japanese music. It might be that the string instrument used, sounds a lot like a japanse koto, a shamisen or a mix of the two maybe 🤔.
Ignitia uses a driving deep bass to describe the fiery features of the area with the lava from the active volcano coarsing through the city.
Sacred Tomb is an emotive and beautiful track.
Vados' theme use of almost angelic voices brings out an ethereal feel. Combining this with the repetitive percussion and repeating the same chord on the organ creates an atmosphere of judgement.
Protovados is the final battle of the game and the theme matches this climaxing. Choir-like chants, jamming guitars and driving drums speak to the finality of the battle. I especially like how the part that plays at 16-20 seconds is followed directly by a guitar solo 🤘.
