Not many of the track truly stand out to me except the main theme (Nate's Theme) of the series. Don't get me wrong though, it's still a great soundtrack, it's just more in the cinematic and atmospheric part of the spectrum.
Nate's Theme is the iconic heroic track for the main character of the uncharted series: Nathan Drake.
The rest of the soundtrack alternates between atmospheric tones and suspenseful pieces, showcasing a versatile emotional range.
Grave Robbing for instance uses an unnerving flute to create a dramatic start, before an uneasy rising intensity of strings takes over. The soundtrack then introduces deep and heavy percussion, also rising in intensity to further cement the suspense.
Sir Francis Drake is a heroic and wonderful track befitting the famous explorer.
Drowned City starts playing right when you encounter enemies if my memory serves me correctly. This is clearly conveyed with the attacking strings in the starts and the layered percussion building describing the perilous situation.
Trapped uses subtle african-like drums and other typical tribal instruments to create an mysterious and uneasy vibe. The repeating rythmic drums gives of a sense of running in circles, before the track goes off into heavy percussion territory to depict the desperate feeling of being trapped. I find the acoustic guitar lick that's mixed in quite tasty.
Treasure Vault plays when you first encounter the terrifying "descendants" of this game exemplified by its thundering percussion.
Uncharted Theme sounds like your typical cinematic movie theme, signifying that the journey is coming to an end.
Showdown played for quite a while during my playthrough, so I remember it very well, dunno why 🤨.
